Morning updates

So a few things going on already today.

I won a book from James Michler Games!
http://jamesmishlergames.blogspot.com/2013/01/we-have-winners.html
I have already picked up the book, Vampires of the Olden Lands, and I am looking forward to reporting on it here.  How did I win this?  Easy, I just followed James' blog, http://jamesmishlergames.blogspot.com
He plans to give away something new each month.
I like his books since they appeal to me need to multi-stat everything I do.

The A to Z blogging Challenge is now open for sign up.
http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2013/01/a-to-z-challenge-sign-ups-start-today_29.html
There are already 177 entries and it has only been open a few hours.  It is going to be huge this year.   So big in fact that there are categories you sign-up under including Gaming.
I would love to see a lot of blogs from our little corner of "teh internets" to enter.  Really get the word out there.  I am thinking of doing a theme again this year, just no idea what yet.  Last year I did game reviews which I think worked out well.

Barbarians of Lemuria: The Scorpion King
Justin over at Halls of the Nephilim saw my She-devil with a Sword and raised me one Scorpion King.

Don't forget that tomorrow is Basic Fantasy RPG Appreciation Day and Talk to the Hand at Hero Press.

ETA:
Here is the signup for the A to Z Challenge.

Glad you are on board for the Challenge and thanks for promoting it. Two blogs? Brave man. I can't even keep up with one...

I have two that I run and three that I contribute too. So I could do five, but that is crazy!

Wonderful. So how do you manage with five? Share your secret. :)

Simple. Three of them are with con-authors and my other blog gets neglected to about 2-3 posts a week!

We will see how many I can get going this time.

I'm going to have to show your blog to my gamer teens! They are mostly into Halo, Skyrim (which I love to sit and watch - I consider it the best game out there as far as realism and what you have to do to stay alive. My YT (youngest teen, 13) is already married with two adopted children. You should see his house. He'd make a great architect. They also love Mine Craft and have made some amazing stuff. yes, I watch my kids play games. I want to know what they're doing. Of course, they have ALL the Halos, and a band of brothers (and cousins, and friends from school...)
Glad you're with us in the challenge and that the categories are making you happy. We are getting mixed reviews. Some don't read the fine print and know that they can do the challenge, um, naked, as are most of the co-host.

Thanks for the mention Tim! I read through the rules last night and I love the game. Can't wait to try it out.

I think I might try to do the A-Z Challenge this year. I really want to post more and I think something like that will help me get in the mindset.

I have a main blog and another that gets neglected, too. Plus the A to Z site now.

Saw your post about Basic D&D. I started out playing Basic in 1982 but switched to the Advanced rules.

Well right now I have two signed up and I might do my other one as well.
3 blogs in one Blogfest? Sure why not!
